The central component of the storage and retrieval machines is a lift table that stores and retrieves the transport boxes in the support structure. Each lift table has four lifgo 5.1 rack and pinion gears from Leantechnik: they raise and lower the table as soon as the storage and retrieval machine has come to a standstill below a storage location. Goods with a total weight of up to 820 kg can be stacked on top of each other in a support structure to form a column 8.95 m above the warehouse floor.

The system is ideal for the space-saving storage of large-volume goods and merchandise. However, the manufacturer would not have been able to implement its innovative transport solution without the rack and pinion gears from Leantechnik. Only they enable the exact positioning of the transport boxes in front of the locking mechanism of the load carrier above. This is the only way the system's quick locking mechanism can take effect. Another advantage of the rack and pinion gearbox is its compactness: the company saves valuable installation space and more loading area is available.

The lifgo gearboxes have been specially developed for applications in which heavy loads need to be positioned precisely and synchronously. They can achieve lifting forces of 2,000 to 15,900 N and lifting speeds of up to 3 m/s. In the lifgo 5.4 version, the gearboxes even have lifting forces of up to 25,000 N. Leantechnik also offers lean SL gearboxes for simple synchronous lifting tasks without lateral force absorption. They are used wherever a guide is already in place. Applications with long stroke and travel distances can be easily implemented with the lifgo linear gearboxes, while the lifgo double is also available for gripping and centering movements. All rack and pinion gearboxes from Leantechnik have a modular design and can therefore be combined with each other as required.
