Now the Igus Motion Plastics Show(imps) is opening in a new edition in 2021. "We are in another year without trade fairs," says Igus Managing Director Frank Blase. "This time, however, we are starting from full digital speed to present our new products." The new stand has been optimized based on the experience gained from last year's virtual customer meetings and tours. Solutions for various industries can be seen in a separate area: the space-saving and telescopic Triflex TRX system for 3D energy management on robots as well as the Iglidur TX2 wound high-load bearing for construction machinery. And the topic of sustainability of plastics is now even more visible and now occupies a central place at the trade fair.

A total of 168 product innovations from all Igus divisions will be presented at the 400 square meter trade fair. The lightweight Drygear cobot gearbox kit for cost-effective automation can be found there, as can the Iglidur I151 tribofilament for FDA-compliant and detectable wear parts in food technology. 55,000 interested visitors from all over the world have now visited the orange stand online, as it is freely accessible as a virtual twin. A further 16,000 visitors have also taken up the offer of a digital visit together with Igus specialists.

"Normally, we would have been represented at 222 trade fairs and congresses worldwide last year, but in total there were just 26," says Frank Blase. "We are therefore all the more pleased that imps has now become an integral part of our daily communication with customers." The real-virtual trade fair stand is an important building block in a digital concept that enables users to find the right lubrication- and maintenance-free Motion Plastics for their individual requirements even faster. Machine designs or tutorials are possible virtually with Igus consultants, online seminars from the new webinar studio provide assistance and the catalog is also available as a digital interactive version including additional information such as access to white papers, blog articles and explanatory videos.
