Process control
Production data recorded across the board
The intralogistics specialists at Losyco have set up a new production line with intelligent process control for a manufacturer of mobile construction machinery.
For continuous production data acquisition, all stations were equipped with networked operator terminals and a central control and evaluation unit with visualization and MES interface was implemented. The events triggered at the stations by button input - cycle release, requests for help in the event of material shortages or assembly requirements and emergency stops - are registered and evaluated there.
Based on this data, the performance of the entire line can be optimized through targeted process control by efficiently coordinating start, cycle and break times and scheduling the station-related work steps according to their complexity. Problems and delays in the process flow can be identified at an early stage and rectified, for example, by readjusting work content or adjusting the quality of components, production and logistics processes.
The line, which can be extended to 17 cycles, currently comprises 12 work stations over a total length of 165 m and is designed for a maximum tensile load of 170 tons. The assemblies, which weigh several tons, are pulled from one station to the next by means of special transport platforms on level floor rails. A chain conveyor with a cycle length of 10.15 m is installed at the end of the line.
