Power clamping nut

Gearbox multiplies tightening torque

With the MDR series, Jakob Antriebstechnik presents a universally applicable power clamping nut with side-mounted hexagon socket and through-thread.

This series complements the two clamping nut types MCA and MDA with operation from above. Size 150 with a nominal clamping force of 150 kN has now been added to the range. The key design feature of the MDR clamping nut is a special crown gear with right-angled deflection of the rotation to multiply the tightening torque. The clamping force is built up in a controlled manner in proportion to the tightening torque. With thread size M30, for example, the heavy SW46 wrench usually required is replaced by the SW14 operating hexagon.

In addition to the robust material design, compactness and low overall height are features. The MDR series is maintenance-free and can be used in special versions up to 400 °C.
