Carbon at Formnext 2025
New technologies for less post-processing
Carbon is using Formnext to present new technologies designed to make additive manufacturing faster, cleaner and more productive. Less post-processing, fewer process steps, more efficiency - that is the claim.
Carbon is presenting a new technological solution at Formnext 2025 that aims to increase efficiency in additive manufacturing. The development aims to reduce workload, process steps and the use of solvents in post-processing, while at the same time enabling precise cleaning and high productivity in series production.
Carbon also presents advances in the field of high-performance elastomers. These materials are used in footwear, cycling and helmet protection to improve comfort and performance. They are also used in medical technology and the automotive industry to manufacture high-quality and technically sophisticated products and components.
"Optimized workflows are critical to achieving scalability and making 3D printing even more attractive for new product categories and industries," says Kristi Smith, VP Global Design to Production at Carbon. "We look forward to sustainably improving our customers' production experience with our hardware and software solutions."
Carbon's commitment is also evident in professional sport: "In this year's Tour de France, seven of the top ten finishers - including the overall winner - rode to the finish line on saddles made of carbon. And in the American professional football league, six of the eight top-rated helmets in terms of safety rely on carbon technology to better protect players on the field," says Smith.
