The laser welding process with a Kuka robot enables the economical and material-friendly production of complex metal parts - without any support structures.

The Fraunhofer IWS has made progress towards new ecological aircraft construction concepts. As part of the EU's Clean Sky 2 program, a team of researchers from Dresden demonstrated the chipless joining of carbon fiber-reinforced thermoplastic component structures in the Multifunctional Fuselage Demonstrator (MFFD) project.

Performance boost in data transmission

Phoenix Contact is expanding its industrial network portfolio with WLAN client modules in accordance with the Wi-Fi 6 (IEEE 802.11ax) technology standard. The new modules in the WLAN 1000 series support gross WLAN data rates of up to 2,402 Mbit per second at 160 MHz bandwidth.
