Swabian machine tool manufacturer Hermle increased its order intake across the Group by 18.9 percent to EUR 433.2 million in 2017 as a whole.
Individual system configurations require individual clamping technology. The Bielefeld-based company SSB-Maschinenbau therefore relies on clamping devices from Röhm.
According to preliminary calculations, Maschinenfabrik Berthold Hermle AG was able to slightly increase its consolidated turnover in 2017 to around € 402 million (previous year: € 394.0 million). The Swabian machine tool manufacturer achieved growth primarily in Germany, while foreign sales remained largely stable.
Ground-breaking ceremony for new production...

On March 5, the ground-breaking ceremony for the Emag Group's new production and office wing in Salach took place together with representatives from the company, construction companies and politicians.
Machining centers with rotary table
For the production of special tools, Jongen uses 3-axis machining centers in combination with a 2-axis rotary table from pL Lehmann. In this way, 5-axis machining is possible and at the same time the company remains flexible in the production of even the most demanding tools.

Hedelius, manufacturer of machining centers with rotary swivel table and swiveling main spindle, is presenting the three 5-axis machining centers Acura 65, T6-2300 and T7-2600 at Metav.

According to the manufacturer, the Mikron Mill P 500 U from GF Machining enables continuous machining of complex shapes and hard materials. Thanks to its temperature stability, reliable precision is ensured even with long machining times.

Production systems for metalworking
SW North America, Inc., a subsidiary of Schwäbische Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH (SW), recently inaugurated a new production facility in the state of Michigan.

The Remscheid-based company Peiseler is presenting further developments in swivel devices, rotary tables, turners and tool changing tables. The two-axis swivel units of the ZASR series were developed for five-axis machining.
