New generation of centrifugal fans
With the new RadiPac series, ebm-papst has once again extended the functionality of its existing centrifugal fans.
The latest generation RadiPacs operate with significantly higher efficiencies. Higher speeds ensure more volume flow and higher pressures, so that even high-pressure applications can be covered.
New impeller: more efficient and quieter
The impeller, developed according to the latest aerodynamic findings, greatly reduces flow losses and further lowers noise levels. Depending on the operating point, the noise level is between 3 and 7 decibels lower than that of the previous series. The material used is a high-strength, glass fiber-reinforced composite material, which enables complex shaping and ensures the stability of the impeller.
GreenTech EC motors
The EC motors integrated into the fans in the power range from 500 watts to 8 kilowatts achieve efficiencies in accordance with the requirements for efficiency class IE5 set out in IEC/TS 60034-30-2. The new 8 kilowatt drive sets high standards in terms of its powerful electronics and compact dimensions. It has been extended to include a configurable interface - including a MODBUS-RTU interface and integrated resonance sensor. This resonance sensor measures oscillations and vibrations and reports faults before the fan is damaged - fully in line with Green Intelligence.
Flexible options and suitable for retrofitting
To accommodate different installation situations, the new RadiPac is available in a standard and a short version. Both versions are available as a motor-impeller combination or as a ready-to-install plug & play solution in a sturdy support spider construction for simple wall mounting. As an option, there is a completely closed FlowGrid preguide grille, which reduces noise-generating turbulence in the inflow and also acts as a protective grille. A retrofit is usually possible without design changes in the application, as the new fans are geometrically smaller despite having a higher performance in the same size. Since October 2021, sizes 310 to 630 have been available with air outputs of up to 20,000 cubic meters per hour and a static pressure increase of well over 2,000 pascals. Samples are available immediately on request.
