With this new management team, Siemens Digital Industries Software aims to drive the introduction of the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio of software and services in the region. Siemens Xcelerator supports companies in accelerating their digital transformation. The essential driver is IT-OT convergence - the combination of software and hardware and the merging of the real world of automation with the digital world of information technology. To this end, Siemens is pursuing its digital thread approach - the complete digital networking of all data to create a comprehensive digital twin.

Before joining Siemens, Klaus Löckel was Executive Vice President Business Development at Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence. Before that, he spent eight years at Dassault Systèmes. There he headed the Transportation & Mobility and Business Transformation sales division before being appointed Managing Director in 2018. He also spent six years in sales positions at SAP, three years as CIO and over two years as Senior Aftersales Manager at Daimler in Denmark and Germany. Löckel holds a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Stuttgart, Germany.
