Expansion of market access for manufacturing IT

Mara Hofacker,

MPDV takes over Felten Group

MPDV, a provider of IT solutions for the smart factory, has so far been active in the discrete manufacturing sector. By incorporating the Felten Group into the MPDV Group, the Mosbach-based software provider is now also gaining access to process manufacturing companies.

"So far, we have only rarely come across the Felten Group in projects," explains Nathalie Kletti, member of the MPDV management board, "a good sign that we are creating a valuable addition by joining the MPDV Group." Werner Felten, founder and Managing Director of the Felten Group, adds: "In times of fast innovation cycles and rapidly advancing digitalization, it always makes sense to consolidate know-how in order to be able to make an even stronger market presence together. Within the MPDV Group, we benefit from MPDV's experience on the one hand and contribute our expertise from over 30 years in the process industry on the other. Together we want to exploit as many synergies as possible."

Felten Group and MPDV
With 50 employees and locations in Germany and Luxembourg, Felten has implemented production management projects in around three dozen countries around the world. Following its incorporation into the MPDV Group, Felten GmbH will continue to exist as its own independent company and 100 percent subsidiary. Nathalie Kletti will be appointed to the Felten management board, a position previously held by founder Werner Felten alone. Together, the existing structures are to be maintained and expanded. In total, the MPDV Group currently employs around 500 people at 15 locations worldwide and recorded a group turnover of 67 million euros last year.
