Wireless sensor
Sensor for the shelf
The new wireless sensor from Steute was developed specifically for use in intralogistics. The RF RW-NET wireless position sensor detects whether a small parts container is on the roller conveyor of a Kanban rack, for example, and sends a corresponding signal to the higher-level control system via the access points of the sWave.Net wireless network.
A large rocker is used as the actuating element. An integrated position sensor detects the position of the rocker without contact. The angle of inclination and the switching hysteresis at which a signal is triggered can be set via the sWave.Net software. The position sensor can be mounted and fixed to roller conveyors or shelves without tools and in a few simple steps using a latching element. In practice, the wireless position sensors, which are available for different frequencies, are mainly used to detect the fill level of roller conveyors in shelving systems: When the last container is removed, the sensor sends a signal to the radio receiver and requests replenishment.
Alternatively, staggered signals (traffic light circuit) can also be issued. Several wireless sensors in a row of shelves then also signal the removal of the third or penultimate bin. as
