Inductive safety sensors with OSSD outputs

Inductive safety sensors with two OSSD outputs (Output Switching Signal Device) complete Turck's portfolio for safety technology. With the proximity switches, users can now also benefit from the advantages of non-contact and therefore wear-free position and range monitoring in safety-related applications - whether on presses, cranes, amusement rides or machine covers.

The sensors send switching signals to safety systems via their OSSD outputs. They use these to detect short circuits, overloads or cross-circuits and also check the shutdown capability. With SIL 2 (IEC 61508) and performance level d (EN ISO 13849), the devices meet high functional safety requirements.

Turck's new product series includes the flush-mountable M12, M18 and M30 threaded barrel devices, each with a high assured operating distance, robust metal housing and a wide temperature range from minus 25 to 70 degrees Celsius. Thanks to their insensitivity to dust and moisture, the inductive proximity switches reduce the risk of system failures - and are therefore aimed at users who want to implement a safety solution cost-effectively with a metal target instead of a specially mounted actuator. as
