Photoelectric sensors
Easy to integrate into different machine environments
The new Contrinex short series photoelectric sensors are compact, flexible and easy to integrate into different machine environments.
These include diffuse sensors, retro-reflective and through-beam sensors as well as sensors with background suppression. The small plastic housings with an M18 diameter are only 33 mm long in the cable version and 37 mm long with connector. The photoelectric sensors can be flush-mounted and are easy to integrate even where space is limited. All variants offer large detection ranges and are protected against crosstalk.
In the version with background suppression, special optics with pinpoint LED ensure very good black/white performance, high-precision detection and long ranges of up to 250 mm. Types with sensitivity adjustment via potentiometer or teach button are available. Both offer an IO-Link interface, which can also be used for sensitivity adjustment in the teach version.
To meet the requirements of modern systems, the PNP sensors are equipped with IO-Link communication as standard. This allows a wide variety of sensor functions to be controlled and set remotely. The spectrum ranges from data monitoring to numerous diagnostic options such as wire breakage, undervoltage, receiver malfunction, mounting the wrong PNP sensor and setting the sensitivity or teach-in. Detection counters, sensor temperature measurement or switching time timers (output switching time or delay setting) and many other features can also be configured remotely.
