Spindle monitoring
Measuring system for motor power and load
BMR will be presenting the MotorView measuring system at GrindTec in Augsburg. It records the power and load of the motors independently of the inverter or spindle and shows this graphically on the external display. The system is easy to operate and install. It is connected in the motor cable. If required, the display is only needed for set-up and parameterization, after which the device can also function independently.
With MotorView, the machine operator can monitor and optimize the efficiency of the inverter-spindle unit themselves. Depending on the version, currently up to 400 V and 20 A, the system provides precise data on the voltage and current of the individual motor phases as well as the current rotational frequencies. For example, the machine operator can detect whether his system is poorly parameterized, whether control oscillations are occurring or whether the spindle is being operated at a voltage that is too high for the set speed. This reduces operating costs and prevents breakdowns.
The digital and analog inputs and outputs are identical to the DressView dressing system. Configuration and data output are also carried out via RS232 in parallel to the display. Further interfaces via fieldbus or Ethernet are possible on request using the SFU Communicator developed by BMR.
