Fraunhofer puts image processing guide series online
In order to promote training and further education in the field of industrial image processing and optical measurement and testing technology even in corona times, the Fraunhofer Vision Alliance is offering the latest five volumes of its guide series as free PDF files for the next three months.
With its series of guidelines, the Fraunhofer Vision Alliance has set itself the goal of making the latest knowledge on the use of industrial image processing and non-contact measurement and testing technology available in a generally understandable form. For exactly 20 years, Fraunhofer Verlag in Stuttgart has been publishing an annual volume on a current specialist topic in image processing, for example surface inspection, optical 3D metrology, X-ray technology or heat flow thermography. The two latest volumes deal with image processing in non-destructive testing (2018) and hyperspectral image processing (2019). In October 2020, the 4th, completely revised new edition of the guide to industrial image processing, which started the guide series 20 years ago, will be published.
The guides have been published as a print version and can be purchased for 35.00 euros. In order to reach more interested parties, the Fraunhofer Vision Alliance office has now initiated this special guide campaign together with Fraunhofer Verlag.
