High degree of protection for harsh measuring environments
Special sensor manufacturer EGE offers the STD flow monitor with aseptic Varivent-F process adaptation for monitoring the flow of aqueous or oily media in hygienic applications.
The thermally operating sensor is suitable for use in category 2 Ex zones. In water, the sensor detects flow velocities in the range from 1 to 10 cm/s, in oil in the range from 3 cm/s to 200 cm/s. Depending on the temperature class of the surrounding gas mixture, the permissible ambient temperatures are between -20 and 85 °C. The process adaptation of the flow monitor is designed in protection class IP67 and can withstand pressures of up to 60 bar. The connection to the SKZ type evaluation unit is made via a PUR cable.
