Efficient testing and measuring
At Automatica, Kistler demonstrated how precise test and measurement data can contribute to resource-efficient production. Among other things, the new piezoelectric force transducer 9172CD was on display. The preloaded sensor can measure compressive and tensile forces of up to 1,000 N immediately after installation. Thanks to a newly developed piezoelectric crystal, the force transducer is nine times more sensitive than conventional piezoelectric sensors, according to the manufacturer. The sensor is particularly suitable for use in demanding applications with small force ranges, such as semiconductor production or medical technology.
Kistler also presented two new mobile measuring devices with integrated charge amplifiers at the trade fair: the 5811A00 model is suitable for insulation tests as proof of sensor and cable quality, while the 5811A01 model with three channels is designed for industrial applications.
