Cylinder sensor

For grippers and cylinders

The MZCG magnetic cylinder sensor from Sick is used to detect the position in pneumatic grippers or miniature pneumatic cylinders with C-slots. With its universal housing design, it fits into a wide range of C-slots from common manufacturers, which reduces storage costs and allows for a more flexible machine design.

The MZCG is an ultra-short cylinder sensor for pneumatic grippers and miniature cylinders.

It is suitable wherever space is at a premium: with a 12.2 millimeter short housing and a radial cable connection rotated by 90 degrees, it is ideal for small drives. Installation is quick and safe: simply drop the sensor into the C-slot and fix it to the cylinder in no time at all, says Sick. The short switching point of the MZCG magnetic cylinder sensor, which has been optimized for gripper applications, enables longer cycle times and increases process efficiency.

The special cable can withstand high torsional forces and a large number of rapid changes in direction. This is ideal for use in highly dynamic applications such as robotics, handling, assembly and the electronics industry. However, the MZCG is also suitable for use on robots and offers a cable that is suitable for drag chains. as
