Conrad presents direct current solutions at all about automation
all about automation (aaa), the trade fair for industrial automation, robotics and digitalization, will take place in Berlin for the first time on 28 and 29 January 2026. Conrad will be represented in Berlin and present solutions for industrial DC grids as well as new measurement technology devices.
"We greatly appreciate the regional character of the aaa. It is the ideal setting for us to talk directly to decision-makers and users on site and to present the Conrad Sourcing Platform to them as a solution provider and reliable partner for efficiently covering their technical needs," says Ralf Heinrichs, Vice President Sales Germany at Conrad Electronic. One focus at the stand will be industrial DC networks.
"In the setting of Industry 4.0 and IIoT, the use of direct current can bring numerous advantages," explains Harald Lehner, measurement technology expert at Conrad Electronic. "With the help of direct current, it is possible to minimize energy consumption and optimize the stability of networks. For example, everyone is currently talking about DC microgrids, i.e. local power grids that use direct current to efficiently generate, store and use electrical energy within a company - without converting it into alternating current. The use of special current clamps is also very important in this context."
New current clamps for high DC currents
Voltcraft has developed new devices specifically for measuring direct current and high DC currents. The VC-771 PV can measure alternating current up to 1500 A and direct current up to 2000 A as well as voltages up to 1000 V AC and 1500 V DC. This makes it suitable for measurements in photovoltaic systems and similar applications.
The new VC-513 and VC-515 DC clamps enable ten times more accurate measurement than conventional devices, have optimized measuring heads and support time-saving DC series measurements.
Other devices available at the stand include multimeters, oscilloscopes and installation testers.
