Solenoid interlock in series
SSP Safety System Products has developed a HoldX R magnetic solenoid interlock, which combines a non-contact RFID safety sensor with an intelligent electromagnet in a compact design in a single device.
The manufacturer emphasizes that the S version of the HoldX R is probably the smallest design on the market. Up to 17 HoldX Rs can be connected in series via incoming and outgoing pigtail cables. The cable is simply looped through, thus significantly reducing the amount of cabling required. The special feature: each individual unit can be evaluated and controlled separately via an internal bus, which can be evaluated without a gateway to the higher-level PLC. A Bluetooth interface enables the user to access the guard locking's diagnostic function via a mobile app and view the error memory, for example. pb
