Protection against electrostatic discharge
Conductive floors protect electronic components from damage caused by electrostatic discharges and prevent explosions, for example in warehouses with flammable media or a dusty atmosphere. StoCretec (Kriftel) now offers a new, technically improved coating for these tasks: StoPox KU 614. The new formulation of the epoxy resin is designed for permanently reliable functionality.
The new StoFloor ESD KU 614 coating system meets all current ESD standards. Its conductivity is excellent and virtually independent of the relative humidity, even at a low humidity of 12 percent. No additional sealing is required. This saves time during installation. Without ionic liquids, salts or carbon fibers, the StoPox KU 614 conductive coating has a homogeneous, glossy surface that also allows light colors without any problems.
StoPox KU 614 has good mechanical and chemical resistance and offers a greater wear reserve than comparable coatings due to its high layer thickness. This results in a long service life with low long-term maintenance costs. It is mainly used on mineral substrates in new buildings. The low-viscosity material flows very well and is therefore easy to apply. Its wide range of colors also allows for individual design. The coating surface can also be adjusted to different slip resistance classes. Tested system structures are available for this purpose.
StoFloor ESD KU 614 is used in ESD protection zones, in rooms with highly sensitive electronic devices and in production halls and warehouses for electronic components. The system has also been confirmed to be compatible with paints for use in the automotive industry.
