Flexibility is the key to success
What do you do when you are confronted with demands for replenishment, consignment stock and just-in-time deliveries in a logistics center designed for standard handling?
A piLIFT®SMART is used to lift goods from a manual warehouse from pallets onto conveyor belts to goods-to-man stations. The piLIFT®SMART works almost entirely by itself. It can be lowered to the cartons without bending down. It recognizes the package and lifts it with just enough vacuum to bring it to the height preset by the employee. All the employee has to do now is position the carton on the conveyor belt. This ensures a healthy back and knees and helps to prevent slipped discs among employees. At the same time, the piLIFT®SMART counts and weighs the cartons. At 57dB, it is quieter than a standard domestic vacuum cleaner and uses just as much energy as it needs for this process - 76% less than conventional models.
