New management level

Andreas Mühlbauer,

Changes at WD-40 DACH

In its German branch, WD-40 is creating an additional management level in the form of sales and marketing management.

The current financial year of the WD-40 Company brings major changes for the German branch. In September, the company announced the decision to establish a further management level at the start of the new financial year.

The positions of Sales Director Germany and Austria and a Head of Marketing will support the management with immediate effect and focus activities centrally on the strategic 5-year targets. The newly created positions were filled internally at the beginning of December through the promotion of employees.

Five years ago, Ferdinand Weber became part of the WD-40 branch office in Germany as Sales Manager Retail Germany/Austria. His task was to set up and develop the retail sales team in order to serve the retail sector independently. Thanks to his many years of experience in the FMCG and trade sector, Weber was able to expand and strengthen distribution and further develop category management for the WD-40 product portfolio in addition to building up the DIY retail business. In his new role as Sales Director Germany and Austria, Weber is now responsible for the entire WD-40-DACH sales team.

Daniel Kalisch began his career at WD 40 seven years ago in the Brand Marketing team at the German branch. He has been responsible for the WD-40 DACH e-commerce and online division since September 2017. He succeeded in strategically expanding the DACH online presence. In his new role as Head of Marketing, Kalisch is now responsible for the online, specialist retail and retail/DIY marketing areas.
