Transportation system

Processing during transportation

Montratec has developed the modular Montrac transport system. It consists of a monorail with self-propelled shuttles that can carry loads of up to 50 kilograms as standard.

Thanks to an intelligent control system - the Smartrouter for communication with the PLC control system - they independently find their transport destination on a branched monorail system and achieve a transport speed of up to 80 meters per minute. A new development is the heavy-duty shuttle Montrac Industrial Shuttle 200: It transports payloads for products and workpieces weighing up to 200 kilograms at speeds of up to 20 meters per minute. The workpieces can be processed during the ongoing process.

Thanks to integrated, electrically operated switches, crossings and tight curves with minimum radii of 220 millimetres, the monorail requires little space and workstations on several levels are connected to each other via lift elements. It is also possible to install the entire system on the ceiling. The transport shuttles communicate independently via infrared with both the work stations and the track. Thanks to the intelligent material flow controller, the status and movement of each shuttle is known. The sensor-controlled safety technology detects obstacles on the route. as
