Lindig relies on battery charging system from Wiferion

Lindig Fördertechnik will offer Wiferion's Etalink technology for contactless charging of industrial trucks in future. For the start-up, the cooperation is an important step in driving forward sales of the battery charging system.

Lindig, authorized dealer of Linde Material Handling, is further expanding its expertise in the implementation of efficient intralogistics. With immediate effect, the Etalink 3000 contactless battery charging systems from Wiferion bearing the L.inductive label are expanding the intralogistics expert's range of services. Lindig will therefore be able to equip manned electric forklift trucks and tugger trains with the inductive quick-charging solution in the Linde dealer network throughout Germany.

The patented charging technology from the Freiburg-based start-up enables the automated intermediate charging of lithium-ion batteries during the logistics process ("in-process charging"). "Automation and increased efficiency are the top issues for our customers. Contactless charging offers enormous advantages here compared to conventional charging technologies," says Lindig Managing Director Sven Lindig. During intermediate charging, smaller amounts of energy are regularly supplied, which is why only a small capacity range of the batteries is required to operate the industrial trucks. This means that the capacity of the battery used can be reduced by up to 30 percent - an enormous cost advantage. There is also no need for battery rooms, battery changes and the necessary travel distances or additional batteries. The result is up to 30 percent higher vehicle availability.

In addition to integration into new vehicles, Lindig also offers its customers the retrofitting of existing fleets. For this purpose, Wiferion developed the Etatray battery tray, which consists of an inductive charging system and a matching lithium-ion battery. The systems also meet high standards in terms of occupational safety and IP protection classes.

The signing of the framework agreement is another important step for Wiferion. "With Lindig, we have a strong partner at our side who will drive forward the distribution of our systems throughout Germany with immediate effect," says a delighted Johannes Mayer, Managing Director of Wiferion. At Logimat, Wiferion will be presenting a twelve-kilowatt version of Etalink to trade visitors for the first time. as
