The forklift replaces a combination of manual work and a front forklift when transporting and storing six-metre-long pipe bundles in the racking systems within the company. With the front loader, it was comparatively laborious to maneuver the long goods in the narrow spaces around the racks, and workers had to transfer the pipes from the loader to a roller board.

The handling of pipe bundles is now more efficient, faster and gentler on employees. The new Combi-WR4 is maneuverable and narrow; whereas it previously took 15 minutes to load a pipe bundle from the truck into the rack, it now only takes five minutes.

The Combi-WR4 is easy to operate thanks to its electronic control system and sensitive controls. Due to the ceiling height of just three meters at Sanha, the manufacturer Combilift has equipped the truck with a special mast with a lift cut-off from 2.90 meters.

As with the other Combilift tiller models, the Combi-WR4 is also equipped with the patented multi-position tiller head, which turns the rear wheel parallel to the frame at the touch of a button. This allows the operator to stand to the side of the device and have a full view of the load, forks and working environment. This position also avoids the risk of crushing when working in narrow aisles. pb
