Dual Fast Pick Station
Fully automatic loading of pallets and trolleys
Winkel has improved its two-storey Fast Pick picking solution for the new Dual Fast Pick Station. Users can now load pallets and trolleys fully automatically with a single system - without interruptions or conversions.
With the Dual Fast Pick Station, users can load both pallets and trolleys on the same machine without retooling or an additional system. The new system is based on the manufacturer's Fast Pick Station and also has a two-storey design. Between 20 and 25 load carriers can be picked per hour with this solution - fully automatically and without interruptions.
The picking table is located on the platform on the upper floor of the station. A robot receives various small packages, parcels and trays with mixed goods via a conveyor line and places them on pallets or trolleys ready for order picking. The load carriers can be lowered one by one through a shaft in the platform. An automatic film stretcher is located underneath the chute. This wraps the fully loaded load carriers in a resistant film on their way to the conveyor system. This protects them for further transportation.
A pallet buffer and an intermediate pallet ensure that the robot can work continuously. The pallet buffer provides an empty pallet as soon as the full pallet is lowered. If a trolley is to be loaded, the intermediate storage area comes into play: a robot picks the parcels and packages on it until the order is packed. Meanwhile, an empty trolley moves up from the lower platform and picks up the goods. It is then lowered again, wrapped in film and fed to the conveyor system. as
