Control of material movements
Comprehensive overview of processes
Inconso presents a Transport Control System, a logistics software for the integrative consolidation and optimization of transport processes in the internal company network.
Inconso has developed the Transport Control System S/TCS to meet the growing demands of operational internal material and goods transport processing. The aim is to achieve end-to-end process transparency and synchronized processes in production supply and disposal. The solution is based on the ABAP stack of SAP Netweaver and can be run for various SAP applications. As an Inconso add-on fully integrated into SAP, S/TCS is the link between various functional areas involved in material transportation, such as materials management, production, warehouse or yard. This closes process gaps in the planning and control of internal, cross-divisional transportation between these otherwise separate functional areas.
This is achieved using a technological approach that enables seamless interaction with the entities of the SAP standard objects - SD deliveries, SD transports, handling units, warehouse tasks and production orders. Material movements can be mapped synchronously. Interesting is the use in plant engineering with the possibility of cross-delivery packing. For internal transportation, any number of packages are created that are transported together.
The special feature: cross-functional planning and control of internal transport movements.
Another feature is the intuitive mobile dialogs. The system can be operated in two scenarios: at a single location or across multiple locations. In the latter case, the solution interacts with transport planning modules for external transport. At the same time, it can be used for different logistics application scenarios. One example is the automotive and supplier industry, where the demand for integrated and standardized overall solutions is growing. This is because internal logistics processes are often only inadequately mapped in the system, which leads to a lack of transparency with regard to the exact stock and supply situation. This is where S/TCS offers digital support for call-off and picking processes for both consumption- and demand-driven material supply processes.
The special feature of this Inconso software is its comprehensive, generic approach. Unlike other solutions that support processes in dedicated functional areas, such as the warehouse, S/TCS enables cross-functional planning and control of internal transport movements, for example from goods receipt to the warehouse, from the warehouse to production as required, through the individual production stages to final assembly and dispatch. To this end, the system keeps an eye on forklifts, tugger trains and trucks between production, the warehouse, the depot and also non-systemically managed sub-areas. Stations" in the internal transport process can also be defined as locations. pb
