Successful premiere of the In.Stand

Excellent atmosphere among exhibitors and visitors: 86 exhibitors and 1,238 visitors were registered for the premiere of In.Stand - Trade Fair for Maintenance and Services. The exhibitors presented the latest solutions for maintenance in mechanical engineering, the automotive sector and industrial maintenance topics.

The high quality of visitors was remarkable: more than 50 percent of maintenance personnel, two thirds of whom were trade visitors significantly involved in investment decisions, came to Stuttgart with concrete investment plans or questions about operational maintenance. The exhibitors at the stands and high-quality presentations in the In.Stand expert forum powered by Pilz were able to answer these questions.

The topic of software and data analysis was a particularly prominent area at the first In.Stand. But there was also plenty of space for classic maintenance topics. Accordingly, the exhibitors' offerings ranged from oil separation to condition monitoring. On both days of the trade fair, visitors were able to find out about maintenance from 1.0 to 4.0.

Many suppliers used the premiere of In.Stand to gather information and get an idea of the trade fair concept. The feedback was extremely positive. Sebastian Schmid, Head of the Technology Department at Messe Stuttgart: "It was important for us to create a positive first impression in Stuttgart for the increasingly important topic of maintenance. The atmosphere was good, there is a high demand for information and we will continue to develop and expand the event together with the industry."

44 percent of trade visitors came to the trade fair in Stuttgart from a distance of 100 kilometers or more. One in five trade visitors came from Bavaria. Switzerland and Austria were among the most important foreign exhibitors. For the future of In.Stand, an expansion of the segment in the direction of trade maintenance is planned. The important factor of further training in the supporting program continues to be highly rated.

Martin Frey, Sales Manager Germany at Pilz: "A more than successful premiere. We are very surprised at the high quality of visitors with interested maintenance engineers and decision-makers. We are already looking forward to the next In.Stand 2020."

"We are very satisfied with how the trade fair went. There were many good discussions and visitors came to us with specific concerns and questions. There was particularly strong demand for our digitalization solutions. As a gimmick, we were able to present a coffee machine to the trade visitors that was connected to our 'Mindsphere' cloud solution. This allowed us to clearly visualize quality, quantity and availability using the OEE app," reports Joachim Höfer, Senior Consultant Service Promotion at Siemens.

For Michael Götz, Head of Sales, BVS Industrie-Elektronik, In.Stand offers great potential for a strong future together: "Our guiding principle 'Quality makes the difference' was reflected 1:1 at In.Stand. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the visitors and the concept of the first event."

"For a first-time event, this was a great start. We welcome the event concept, which stands out positively and picks up the trade visitors as a whole. The supporting program with practical presentations and networking evening was coherent and we liked it very much," says Dennis Gobbers, Sales Manager Germany GSGroup Germany.

Philipp Neuwirth, Team Coordinator Sales & Partner Management Industry 4.0, Schaeffler Monitoring Services, praised the compact trade fair format in particular: "The In.Stand offers a good opportunity to network with trade visitors from the maintenance sector. In combination with our specialist presentation and the panel discussion, we realized a very successful trade fair participation."

Launch partner SEW summarizes: "We thought In.Stand was very good. We had a very good quality of technical discussions at the stand and the concept suits us very well. The visitors came to the In.Stand both regionally and nationally, for example we had trade visitors from Bavaria and neighboring countries," says René Maisenhelder, Head of Service Industrial Gear Units - Serviceability and Condition Monitoring, SEW Eurodrive.

The next In.Stand will take place in Stuttgart from October 21 to 22, 2020.
