Hanover Fair 2019
Sick brings Industry 4.0 into the here and now
At the Hannover Messe from 1 to 5 April, Sick will be presenting how sensor intelligence and data transparency can be used to optimize the value chain.
Under the motto "4.0 Now", visitors to the Sick stand at the Hannover Messe will gain an insight into smart manufacturing at the Freiburg site. User requirements are driving the intelligent networking of individual production processes and the integration of goods movements. This requires data to be used to optimize the value chain. As a manufacturer of sensors, Sick provides the basis for data generation - innovative solutions and services based on sensor data.
Sick is opening the doors of its smart production facility in Freiburg and bringing them to the trade fair stand. Visitors will be able to follow the automated guided carts making their rounds, supplying production robots and transporting finished products away via livestream. The key figures for the Freiburg site can be called up on a dashboard in Hanover. Bosch Production Performance Management of the 4.0 Now Factory provides insights into the world of analyzing production process and sensor data. It shows how processes can be made more efficient through analysis and also provides information on how machine downtime can be avoided and service activities can be planned and implemented efficiently.
Localization technology is one of the keys to networked production and logistics. Localization data generates a high level of transparency and understanding of all productive assets, load carriers and loading aids. This makes it possible to optimize and dynamically adapt routes, flexibly prepare and reschedule set-up times, plan and control the material flow based on consumption and thus increase delivery quality and delivery reliability. Sick is also bringing the future into the present with its use of artificial intelligence (AI) by demonstrating at the trade fair stand how AI can generate efficiency gains in industry.
