Data acquisition in a heterogeneous environment
In the age of Industry 4.0, consistent data acquisition in heterogeneous machine system environments is of great importance.
Beckhoff has developed a system that supports the user in this: TwinCAT Scope. Via a standardized OPC UA communication channel, the charting tool can be used to analyse data from TwinCAT controllers as well as from 3rd party components.
TwinCAT 3 Scope consists of Scope View for the graphical display of the signal curves and the Scope Server, which is responsible for data recording and is installed autonomously on a target device or remotely on the corresponding engineering system together with Scope View. The latter offers the advantage that no additional software needs to be installed on the target device.
