"From electric cylinders from the LEY series to SY valve terminals with an IO-Link connection, our high-performance technologies are used at Fanuc," says Didactic Manager Thomas Meyer. Two rooms are already equipped, and a third will be set up in the course of 2019.

Jens Mühlegg, Technical Sales Support Universities and Education Centers at Fanuc Germany, agrees: "It therefore makes sense to equip our training courses at Fanuc with state-of-the-art automation solutions from SMC." This is why seven robotics training cells use LEY series electric cylinders and SY series valve terminals with IO-Link in addition to maintenance units and swing clamp cylinders. The robust valve terminals with steel spools are extremely durable with up to 200 million switching cycles. Like the LEY cylinders with a clean design, they are ideal for applications in the food and pharmaceutical industries. The training cells therefore offer the most realistic environment possible for high-quality training.

The academy offers the best conditions for the comprehensive qualification of automation experts. The training center offers space for 19 training rooms in which internal and external lecturers teach participants from the food and automotive industries, aviation and electronics, among others, in a sustainable and future-oriented manner directly on the product.
