Award for Preccon at the handling award
Preccon Robotics takes 2nd place in the handling award in the category "Manipulators, robotics and system solutions".
Employees from Preccon Robotics and Teconsult were also on stage at the 5th handling awards ceremony at Motek. The Bayreuth robotics specialists were awarded 2nd prize in the "Manipulators, robotics and system solutions" category for their iMS measuring system. The jury consisted of renowned industry representatives and trade journalists. Over the last few years, a total of 359 entries were submitted in four different categories.
Excellent robotics solution
The intelligent measuring system gives robots the ability to set themselves up independently and automatically. It detects any deviation from the ideal state in the production process and intervenes before the system comes to a standstill. The system is used successfully by Stäubli and robots from Kuka and ABB, among others.
"We have entered the age of robot calibration 4.0 with momentum and this new award will continue to inspire us," says Martin Loch, Marketing and Sales Manager at preccon, who accepted the golden hand, the symbol of the award, together with Jochen Barfrede, Managing Director of Teconsult and Markus Walsdorf, Sales Representative at preccon.
Predictive maintenance
There are currently 50 systems already in use and inquiries have increased tenfold this year. Interest is currently greatest in the automotive sector, closely followed by the electronics and aerospace industries. iMS provides plant operators with detailed information on the status of the robot process, enabling predictive maintenance planning without the need for specialist robotics knowledge.
"Our common core interest is to prevent unplanned system downtime, counteract resource shortages and achieve process stabilization while maintaining consistently high product quality," says Jochen Bargfrede, Managing Director of Teconsult. "A 20% increase in productivity with an ROI of less than six months are realistic goals that have already been achieved several times in practice."
