New shareholders
IIoT platform Adamos is growing
The joint venture of the open, digital IIoT platform Adamos has two additional shareholders: Engel Austria and the Karl Mayer Group. This strategic alliance for the future topic of the Industrial Internet of Things, which was founded by Dürr, DMG MORI, Software, Zeiss and ASM PT, is available worldwide with 200 experts.
"By adding these two machine manufacturers, we are taking further steps to establish Adamos as the industry standard. Together, we have an installed base of several 100,000 machines and systems. Together with our customers, we are making dynamic progress in the digital world," says Ralf W. Dieter, CEO of Dürr.
With a turnover of 1.36 billion euros, Engel Austria is one of the leading companies in plastics machinery manufacturing and the global market leader for injection molding machines. Karl Mayer is the market leader in textile machine construction and offers solutions for warp knitting and warp preparation as well as for the technical textiles sector.
The IIoT platform is comparable to the operating system of a computer and collects large amounts of data from production. Digital marketplaces based on Adamos form the interface to the machine operators. The Dürr Group offers the digital marketplaces Loxeo (for Dürr and Schenck customers) and Tapio (for Homag customers). Plant operators can use Loxeo and Tapio to evaluate data, digitally map their production and purchase digital services and apps, for example for predictive maintenance, adaptive production planning or the management of operating materials. This contributes to the optimization of production and maintenance. as
