The factory grows

Michael Koch expands its headquarters

At the beginning of February, Koch took over another commercial property with an office and hall in Ubstadt-Weiher, directly opposite its headquarters. The Development and Purchasing departments have already moved in.

The "Fabrikle", as the company calls its headquarters, has now reached the limits of its capacity. The owner family took advantage of the surprising opportunity that arose at the end of 2019 as a result of a change in the neighboring company to purchase a building that was only five years old with around 400 square meters of office space and around 220 square meters of hall space. 25 parking spaces also reduce parking pressure.

The Development and Purchasing departments have already moved into the new "Technikum". The development department in particular has gained laboratory and test space thanks to spacious, light-flooded, fully equipped offices and a part of the hall that has been converted into an electronics laboratory. The hall was made fit for this purpose with appropriate measures such as an ESD floor and suitable equipment. In addition to the laboratory area, a forum was created in which applications of the company's products can be presented and, above all, tested.

The space freed up in the "Fabrikle" is used for the further expansion of the sales department, which also fulfills the task of application engineering at Koch. At the same time, a small canteen, or as it is called in the "Fabrikle", a spacious "dining room" has been set up, as well as a fitness room with corresponding sanitary facilities. as
