Bender presents the EDS440 insulation fault locator. It is specially adapted to the additional functionality of the iso685 insulation monitoring device. The iso685-D-P variant is equipped with the locating current injector required for insulation fault location.
The operating menu has been expanded and adapted for setting the EDS440. An automatic bus scan for detecting the connected EDS440 and individual text input for the alarm messages provide the operating personnel with a convenient application. In switch cabinets, where EDS insulation fault locators are usually installed, there are often space problems. The EDS440 addresses this problem with a smaller housing width. It is also more compact in terms of installation depth. The connection type is implemented using plug-in terminals, which are available either as screw or spring terminals. This enables quick installation and easy replacement of the devices. The measurement technology is based on that of the EDS460 and the EDS195P, but has been optimized in terms of accuracy, reduced interference from the system to be monitored and other aspects. pb
