All-in-one tablet scans from all distances
Honeywell presents a robust all-in-one tablet for businesses. The RT10 tablet from Honeywell enables a quick introduction for users in different areas and can be integrated directly into daily work processes.
The 10.1-inch tablet is equipped with Honeywell 's FlexRange Dual Imager technology. The technology makes it possible to capture data from a distance of less than 0.1 meters up to ten meters. This allows users to easily capture barcodes from different distances and save time at the same time.
"The rugged tablet market is a multi-billion dollar market. Honeywell's RT10 tablet sets itself apart from the competition by offering true all-in-one functionality," said Kevin Dehoff, President of Honeywell Productivity Products. "With our integrated FlexRange Scan Imager, workers don't need to carry additional devices to capture data. Plus, the tablet's ease of use speeds up workflows."
The FlexRange scanner has two integrated optics. Unlike products from other suppliers, this one has no moving parts. This means that near and far images can be captured simultaneously without delay. The two optics can capture data from a very short to a long distance - as is usual with warehouse shelving. This allows users to deploy a single device in all existing application areas.
The tablet, which is offered for both Android and Windows operating systems, is available with a full range of accessories, including forklift mounts and display docks for connecting to external monitors.
The Android-based version is the tenth mobile computer built on the Honeywell Mobility Edge platform. The release has a software and hardware architecture and includes applications that extend product life, speed deployment and simplify management of mobility solutions. Mobility Edge is the only platform that guarantees support up to Android 11. In addition, Mobility Edge enables existing IT solution development and software certification to be used across multiple form factors for different applications.
Both versions of the tablet can download apps via the Honeywell Marketplace. These include the Honeywell Smart Talk app, which is equipped with security functions such as message and voice encryption, so that the communication of the mobile workforce is protected at all times.
The tablet can also be connected to the Honeywell Operational Intelligence cloud-based software solution. This enables operators to centrally track, manage and optimize mobile devices throughout their operational lifecycle. Recently, the Operational Intelligence platform has been enhanced with new features to help organizations improve health and safety practices for their mobile workforce. as
