Harting and Expleo cooperate for IoT solutions
Harting and Expleo are cooperating in the field of data-driven services and IoT solutions for industrial customers. Expleo is contributing software for analyzing machines and production lines, Harting its edge computer Mica.
Philip Harting, CEO of Harting, and Peter Seidenschwang, Head of Industry at Expleo Germany, signed the agreement confirming their long-term cooperation at SPS 2019 in Nuremberg. Harting offers the modular, industry-standard Mica edge computer for industrial applications, which Expleo implements with its experts for connectivity, visualization, data analysis and artificial intelligence.
The joint declaration of intent is intended to deepen the long-standing cooperation within the Mica.network, the user organization around Harting's edge computing system Mica. Expleo has been involved in the Mica network since 2016 and has developed a solution for the process and operational optimization of machines and production facilities within this framework.
Expleo's modular SmartAnimo software is able to independently learn the standard behavior of connected production lines and individual machines and detect anomalies in the process without manual intervention. The overall efficiency of the system can now be increased by focusing on predictive quality or predictive maintenance based on the early detection of emerging faults. Thanks to the robustness and flexibility of Mica, Expleo can also implement the solution in industrial environments and retrofit existing production systems non-invasively. as
