Hannover Messe 2022
Focus on digitalization and decarbonization
After two years of abstinence, the Hannover Messe is to be held as a physical trade fair again next year from April 25 to 29.
It will be complemented by a comprehensive range of digital services for exhibiting companies and visitors. The main theme of Industrial Transformation focuses on the digitalization and decarbonization of industry.
"The past few months have shown that digital formats cannot replace a real trade fair," says Dr. Jochen Köckler, CEO of Deutsche Messe. "In April 2022, innovations will once again be brought to life on the packed exhibition grounds and the focus will be on personal contacts. Visitors from all over the world will meet solution providers for the automation and digitalization of their production processes in Hanover. At the same time, the trade fair will focus on climate protection. The exhibiting companies will showcase new technologies and services that significantly reduce theCO2 emissions of industrial companies."
In addition to the physical trade fair presence, comprehensive virtual services will be offered. "Hannover Messe brings together the best of both worlds and expands the offer with innovative digital participation opportunities. The exhibiting companies decide whether they want to participate physically, hybrid or purely digitally and thus leverage the potential of additional leads and reach in the digital space," says Köckler.
The guiding theme of the Hannover Messe is Industrial Transformation. Köckler: "The industrial transformation is being driven to a large extent by two megatrends: the digitalization of industry and the reduction of C02 emissions."
Digitalization involves topics such as networking, data analytics, the Internet of Things, platforms, artificial intelligence and IT security. If you want to survive in global competition, you have to use the opportunities offered by digitalization to develop, manufacture and distribute products faster and more efficiently. In Hanover, companies from the electrical engineering, mechanical and plant engineering, software and IT sectors will be demonstrating how the automation and digitalization of entire production and business processes can succeed.
Industry is responding responsibly and with innovative solutions to increasing global warming and the political and social debates surrounding climate protection. At the Hannover Messe, companies from the energy sector, among others, will be presenting how industrial companies can significantly reduce their energy consumption and C02 emissions. With these future technologies, the exhibiting companies are making a significant contribution to meeting national and international climate targets.
Köckler: "With the guiding theme of Industrial Transformation and the combination of the physical trade fair with new digital products, Hannover Messe is bringing the future of industry to life. In April 2022, it will finally be "back to the future" of industrial production."
