Inspired by marine invertebrates
Faulhaber presents kinetic sculpture "Project Anthozoa"
To make the characteristics of Faulhaber's linear DC servo motors particularly vivid, industrial designers and engineers from MKT, Olching, and flying saucer, Berlin, were inspired by the so-called class of Anthozoa, a form of coral animal.
In collaboration with Faulhaber, the sculpture "Project Anthozoa" was created, which perfectly imitates the smooth movement of marine invertebrates. Flowing, lively movement without resting moments, a strictly linear force-current ratio, high dynamics and precise position control of the Faulhaber linear drives are thus artfully illustrated.
A total of 120 of these linear DC servomotors with just as many Faulhaber Motion Controllers are used in this fascinating work of art to impressively demonstrate the perfect choreography of flowing movement.
The sculpture can be seen and above all experienced at Faulhaber, Hall 15 - Stand H29, from April 23 to 27 at the Hannover Messe. kp
