New third layer
The APS (Advanced Planning and Scheduling) system Ganttplan from Dualis supports the optimization of planning processes in smart factories. The detailed planning tool can be used independently or interlinked with various ERP and MES solutions.
Ganttplan is available both as a 2-tier architecture (application with integrated planning) and as a 3-tier architecture (application with central planning in the service). The 3-tier architecture is a new development. This service is platform-neutral (based on Java EE), scalable and dockerizable. The solution is both cloud- and IoT-capable. With this service-oriented architecture and container-based design, Ganttplan can run on the leading IoT platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, IBM Bluemix and many more. As a Visual Components distributor in Germany, Dualis will also be presenting innovations from the Visual Components 3D simulation platform at the manufacturer's stand. With the recently launched Visual Components Experience (VCE) version, plants planned and simulated with Visual Components can be experienced on mobile devices and in virtual reality. as
