TSC expands thermal transfer portfolio
With the MB240/MB340 and MB240T/340T models, TSC Auto ID is adding four more thermal transfer printers for four-inch label printing to its portfolio in this performance class.
The printers can be used flexibly for coding and marking tasks in production, offices, warehouses, logistics, healthcare and retail, as well as for printing event tickets.
The manufacturer points to fast processors and improved firmware, resulting in excellent print quality even at high throughput. The Thermal Smart Control developed by TSC precisely tracks the heating level of each individual pixel and calculates the best time to produce precisely printed and therefore clearly legible labels from batch sizes of one or in runs of thousands. The models are available with a resolution of 203 dpi and 300 dpi. Their technology supports film rolls with a length of 450 meters and label rolls with a width of up to 120 millimetres and a diameter of eight inches.
In addition, the top models have a metal construction and an injection-molded aluminum printing unit, an easy-to-understand user interface, many modern interfaces, are quiet in operation, have a large material tray and a high-contrast, intuitive 3.5-inch touch display with six operating buttons on the T models.
Optionally, the printers can be retrofitted with a peel, present and rewind kit for optimized label printing. Other options include a cutter, GPIO, internal Bluetooth or wireless 802.11 a/b/g/n.
The company's own TSPL-EZD firmware with integrated file manager is state of the art, according to the company. It offers full compatibility with all common standard industry emulations, allows the printer to function in stand-alone mode and supports IT applications such as Oracle, Unix, A/S400 or Windows. TSC's Diagtool software is designed to facilitate the replacement of existing printers. as
