At the AMB
Yaskawa celebrates trade fair premiere with new products
As a solution provider for automated metalworking, Yaskawa is exhibiting at AMB for the first time. Motoman robots from the manufacturer are used, for example, in tool handling, in the processing and palletizing of workpieces and in machine loading.
As an eye-catcher at the stand, Yaskawa has announced a show cell in which two Motomini robots move at lightning speed. The new Motomini offers a payload capacity of 500 grams with a reach of 350 millimeters and expands the Motoman robot portfolio with what is now the smallest model. As a lightweight high-speed robot, the compact six-axis robot combines fast cycle times with its high repeat accuracy of 0.03 millimetres, according to the manufacturer. It was specially developed for handling and assembling small workpieces.
The controller is also small and light: the Motomini is operated with the new Motoman YRC1000micro high-performance controller. The teach pendant is ergonomic and clearly laid out, and at just 730 grams is the lightest in its category.
Further developments and new programming device
Yaskawa will also be showcasing a further development of the Motoman HC10 collaborative robot as well as the next-generation programming device: the HC10DT model (DT stands for "Direct Teach") can optionally be programmed directly via the robot arm. This "Easy Teaching" is made possible by additional function buttons on the robot arm. The HC10DT is also easy to program and operate in conjunction with the new Smart Pendant programming device. This means that the user has to remember less and less data, such as commands, values and the entire operating sequence.
There are also new features in the Motologix software interface: the range of supported platforms now also includes the Ethercat standard. In addition to Ethercat, integrated solutions based on Powerlink, Ethernet/IP and Profinet are still possible with Motologix. as
