Universal Robots travels through the DACH region again
Experience automation up close
Universal Robots (UR), the Danish manufacturer of collaborative robots (cobots), is once again organizing its "Robots on Tour" event series in 2024. At 16 locations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, interested parties will have the opportunity to find out more about how collaborative robotics works and its areas of application. The tour started on February 1 and ends on October 24.
"For the third time in a row, we are taking our cobots on tour in response to people's continued interest. The need to automate work steps is becoming ever greater. There is now a shortage of qualified personnel in almost all industries and across all company sizes," explains Andrea Alboni, General Manager Western Europe at Universal Robots. "At the events, our partners use practical application examples to show how this challenge can be met. This not only gives participants the opportunity to experience innovative robotics up close, but also to learn about the potential of the technology."
Program cobots yourself
The local partners of Universal Robots will present an individual range of applications from areas such as welding, machine loading or palletizing at the individual venues. The special feature: Visitors can try out and program the cobot applications themselves. In this way, they learn how collaborative robots can relieve employees of monotonous and strenuous tasks and free up their capacity for more demanding tasks. During initial programming trials, participants have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the technology and see for themselves that the robots can be operated without detailed IT knowledge. In addition, an individual supporting program rounds off the series of events: for example, robotics experts will give practical presentations on exemplary case studies, safety-relevant aspects or hidden automation potential.
Free robotics knowledge at 16 stations
The "Robots on Tour" event series covers the entire DACH region. With 16 stations, Universal Robots and its partners ensure that interested parties do not have to travel long distances to take part in the free robotics event.
