Various solutions will be shown at the trade fair stand - some with the classic 7-axis KR models, others with lightweight robots from the Edge Edition. The applications on show have been developed in close collaboration with partner companies and companies from the KR Pulse ecosystem. The company will also be presenting its own innovations in the areas of hardware and software.

"Developed for industry - Built to last - Always innovating" - from the perspective of Kristian Kassow, founder and CEO of Kassow Robots, this year's trade fair motto underlines the company's claim to combine industrial requirements with robust technology and a high level of application orientation. "Our aim is to support system integrators and their industrial customers in rethinking automation - with solutions that are practical and durable," says Kristian Kassow. He is referring both to the stable aluminum construction of the 7-axis lightweight robots and to the development team's consistent focus on specific requirements from industrial practice.

New, additional cobots with higher load capacity

The trade fair premiere will also include new, additional 7-axis robot models that open up completely new dimensions in terms of payload capacity. Kassow Robots will be presenting the exact technical specifications of these cobots at Automatica in Munich. "These additional models will significantly expand the range of applications for the 7-axis cobots in production and logistics," explains Dieter Pletscher, Global Sales Manager at Kassow Robots.

Sensitive robot arm with force sensors on all 7 joints

Kassow Robots is presenting its new Sensitive Robot Arm for particularly sensitive applications for the first time in Germany. Developed for complex, contact-based tasks such as surface processing, the model is equipped with optionally available force sensors on all seven joints. The integrated strain gauges enable precise detection of even the smallest forces and support particularly sensitive interaction with the workpiece. A motorcycle fuel tank will be polished as an example at the trade fair stand. Visitors can observe live how the robot maintains a constant contact pressure despite irregular component geometry, detects the finest surface deviations and reacts accordingly. "This ensures stable, safe and repeatable execution of even the most demanding machining processes," explains Dieter Pletscher, Global Sales Manager at Kassow Robots.

Three different controller variants in future

Kassow Robots is also introducing innovations in the area of controllers: In future, there will be three different variants. The previous controller has been redesigned and is now much more compact. Companies that are planning stationary cobot solutions and are reliant on a compact solution will particularly benefit from the 75% smaller controller. With the Edge Edition, everything remains unchanged: Here, the controller is still firmly integrated into the robot base.

Mobile all-in-one solution with the Edge Edition on the floor and ceiling

In the field of applications, Kassow Robots will be showcasing a wide range of industrial applications at Automatica. Together with partner companies Project S&P and Ceilix Technology GmbH, a mobile all-in-one solution with two Edge Edition models will be presented for the first time in Munich: Two cobot arms work in coordination - one floor-mounted, one ceiling-mounted. The concept benefits from the high degree of flexibility made possible by the controller integrated into the robot feet and aims to make particularly efficient use of the available space.

Another example of flexible automation is shown by Kassow Robots together with Linak: a lifting column is used here that allows the robot to be adjusted to different heights.

Application mix: welding, quality inspection, CNC and more

Kassow Robots is also expecting a great deal of interest from trade visitors for the applications it is presenting together with partner companies from the "KR Pulse" ecosystem. These include a welding application with Kemppi, a quality inspection with Sensopart and 24 Vision and a machine-tending solution with Made4CNC.

The welding application with Kemppi provides a practical demonstration of how a 7-axis cobot can perform continuous weld seams - i.e. without settling and with consistent precision. In conjunction with Sensopart, a KR cobot performs the automated quality inspection of a child's car. The solution with Made4CNC shows how a robot can be positioned next to a CNC machine to operate it in combination with the Safedoor automated door opening system.

Other applications will also be presented at stand B4.101, including 3D bin picking with Photoneo, screw assembly with Spin Robotics, palletizing with WePall, dosing and dispensing with AIM Robotics and optical quality control with 24 Vision. In addition, Kassow Robots will be presenting a selection of different gripper solutions from established manufacturers at the "KR Pulse Bar".
