Igus expands its marketplace offering with UR cobots

Since 2019, the RBTX marketplace from Igus has been offering simple and inexpensive solutions - for example, a pipetting robot with all accessories. RBTX is now cooperating with cobot manufacturer Universal Robots (UR).

Flexible automation solutions and fast integration as well as intuitive use - this is the goal that the RBTX marketplace and UR are pursuing with their robotics offering. At Motek, the two companies therefore announced the launch of their partnership in Germany, Austria and Switzerland as part of the RBTX offering. Via RBTX.com, the marketplace cooperates with 70 companies that offer their robots, gripping systems, camera technology, conveyor belts, software and services on the online platform.

"With Universal Robots, we have gained another well-known partner that will enable us to expand our product range - apart from Igus' own ReBeL robot - to include cobots for the first time," says Alexander Mühlens, Head of the Automation Technology and Robotics division at Igus. The marketplace already offers a wide range of accessories that can be combined with the UR cobots. "Universal Robots offers easy-to-integrate automation solutions that enable customers to strengthen their competitiveness and achieve a quick return on investment - this fits in very well with the RBTX approach," says Andrea Alboni, General Manager Western Europe at UR.
