Cooled pusher unit for short cycle times
In the fall of 2022, Meusburger introduced an innovation in the field of mould making: the E 3380 cooled compact slide unit. According to the company, it is the only compact slide unit on the market with a prefabricated cooling bore and integrated cooling nozzle.
According to the supplier, customers also benefit from the compact design and a slide travel of up to 40 mm, which can be adjusted as required. When developing the slide unit, the focus was particularly on ease of use, which is why the geometries allow maximum flexibility during installation. The hardened and DLC-coated compact slider is available from Meusburger in three different sizes and two different stroke lengths from stock. The 3D data for all sizes can be exported from the Meusburger store ready for installation. In addition, pull-off bodies are available for the CAD design of each variant. This allows the mold designer to place a slide assembly in his CAD design in just a few minutes. To match the compact slide unit, Meusburger recommends the E 3046 slide holding device, for which a release is already prefabricated in the slide.
The advantages of the E 3380 compact slide unit are the reduced cycle times thanks to efficient cooling, optimized production and moulding process as well as increased quality of the moulded part thanks to optimal cooling until moulding, summarizes Meusburger.
