Grinding technology
Compact machine concepts with intelligent software
The grinding machine manufacturer Okamoto supports high-tech industries with state-of-the-art grinding, polishing and lapping machines. The company will be presenting a cross-section of these technologies at EMO.
Surface quality or flatness is a decisive quality feature in component manufacturing. The comprehensive product portfolio provides users in the metalworking, electronics, medical, optics and semiconductor industries, for example, with innovative, coordinated technology that extends all the way to the final, decisive polish.
One example is the new ACC-64CAiQ from the ACC-CAiQ series of heavy-duty precision surface grinding machines. The series consists of five models with a table size of 600 × 400 to 1,000 × 600 millimetres. With a capacity of 600 × 400 millimetres, the ACC-64CAiQ is one of the most successful machine sizes in this series. In these model series, Okamoto combines its experience in the construction of vibration- and oscillation-reduced traveling column designs with the modern iQ control concept.
Universal cylindrical grinding machine
In addition to the OGM-NCIII CNC cylindrical grinding machines, Okamoto is presenting a universal cylindrical grinding machine with two external grinding wheels and an internal spindle at EMO. The UGM-360NC and UGM-3100NC precision universal cylindrical grinding machines both have a fully automatic B-axis grinding head.
The versatile precision grinding machines are easy to operate thanks to dialog input software. A wide range of special accessories, such as a motor-driven tailstock, different steady rests, roller dressers or an in-process measuring device and lead detection, make it possible to adapt the machine configuration to individual customer requirements.
