Gripping system for the niche
Micro system for grippers. For confined spaces and small components, ASS has developed a micro system that is smaller and lighter and can also handle parts that were previously drop parts.
More and more drop parts are being automated due to increasing quality requirements. A small installation space or the maximum manageable weight pose particular challenges here. The new Micro System from ASS Maschinenbau closes the gap here.
With a clamping diameter of six millimetres, the Micro System is significantly smaller and lighter than the previous smallest system with a clamping diameter of ten millimetres. The system is used wherever small injection molding machines or small linear handling and other miniature machines are used and there is little space in the tool. With the new system, even small components that were previously drop parts can now be handled easily and cleanly in confined spaces.
The ASS robot hand kit already has numerous micro system gripper parts designed for small components and confined spaces. In addition, further micro components are to be added to the catalog in October for K, so that more than 60 gripper parts will enable the construction of miniature grippers.
In addition to several GRZ 06-06 grippers and a micro quick-change system, the available gripper parts include various angle clamps and arms, connecting elements, gripper arms in various designs with air feed-through or spring-loaded as well as a customized selection of micro suction cups.
The small design of the gripper parts makes the Micro System a niche product in the truest sense of the word for automation solutions with limited installation space. Based on the familiar L-profile, the Micro System optimizes the weight and space advantages. The gripper made from Micro components shown in the picture weighs just 265 grams, which is around 500 grams less than a comparable gripper with a ten millimeter clamping system. as
