Manfred Bär retires
Change at the top of IEF-Werner
On March 31, 2018, Manfred Bär hands over the management of IEF-Werner to Stefan Deck and Manfred Meyer. Both have a background in sales and have been with the company for many years.
Manfred Bär joined IEF-Werner in 1981 as design manager. Among other things, he was head of development and product manager for special machines. He has been managing director of IEF-Werner since 1998. At that time, the company still employed 81 people, with a turnover of around twelve million euros. In the 2017 financial year, 143 employees generated 25 million euros. Manfred Bär now wants to devote more time to new challenges in his private life.
Stefan Deck, Product Area Manager for transfer and palletizing systems, and Manfred Meyer, Head of the New Technologies department and long-standing authorized signatory, will succeed him. "I am very pleased that I am handing over the management to two long-standing employees and close confidants who know the company and the market inside out. I have every confidence that they will continue to develop IEF-Werner based on their expertise," explains Manfred Bär.
The outgoing Managing Director is valued by his employees as a leader with a clear vision, who has constantly driven the development of IEF-Werner with curiosity, reliability and commitment - both as a driving force and as a critical observer. Step by step, he has built the Black Forest-based company into a leading global automation specialist. At Motek 2017, the international trade fair for production and assembly automation in Stuttgart, the handling award jury presented him with the honorary award for his life's work and as a personality in the industry. as
